Today we woke up pretty early... before 6:30am. I rolled over and my dad whispered "are you awake?". I had set up the videos on my laptop to upload overnight so I checked on those. After, I tried to go back to sleep but couldn't, so we started to get ready.
We had breakfast at the hotel and were on the road before 8:30am. I took some pictures of the hotel this morning, since I didn't do that last night.
Then we headed on our way to Orlando, listening to my "Disney Classics" playlist all the way. We'd already listened to all of the Disney music on my ipod at least once (the playlist ended mid-Georgia). That is pretty impressive as I have 13.2 hours of Disney music. Yes, I'm a nerd.
On our way to Orlando we saw more of the tall signs I commented on yesterday, so my dad reminded me to take pictures. Here they are. Aren't those signs rediculously tall?Driving, we went just down to Daytona Beach, so I managed to get a picture of the sign at least!
Then, once on I4 we were SO close to Orlando!
When we arrived in Orlando (at 11am!), we went straight to Downtown Disney...
and to the Virgin Megastore to get a cell phone.
Then we went home to Disney's Old Key West, where we checked in... even though we were rediculously early, our room was ready! So we moved in.
I tried to set up my phone, but the internet wasn't working, so instead I just took pictures.
After awhile of trying to fix the internet, and calling IT we were starving, so we headed out to Olive Garden. It was SO filling, and I even got part of my meal to go!
We came back and the IT person had fixed the internet, so I tried to set up my lovely phone. At first, Virgin Mobile couldn't accept my credit card since it had a Canadian billing address. So I added the Commons address to my credit card as an alternate address, and then put that into the cell phone site. It said it had a problem with the credit card, so after trying 3 times I decided to just use "top up" cards. THEN we figured out that you can pay Virgin Mobile accounts using Pay Pal. So I signed up for Pay Pal... but that STILL didn't work (Pay Pal didn't want to let me charge things right away or rejected the payment for some reason) so I finally paid the amount using my dad's Pay Pal, and had a working phone. It took 3 hours and MANY calls to Visa and Virgin Mobile to set it up, but I think it will be worth it!
With the phone set up, Dad and I headed to Magic Kingdom. We went on the Carousel of Progress, saw Mickey's Philharmagic, and went on It's a Small World. Then we realised how tired we were, and decided to head back to the room. But I took this photo first!
The bus ride back to Old Key West was freezing! The AC was WAY too high! We got off before the General Store and wandered around where I took these pictures!
Then we went and got a couple of groceries (juice, and breakfast food). I saw that the guy at the cash was pretty young and had a college on his nametag, so I asked him if he was a part of the College Program. He's living in Chatham! We chatted a little, and then my dad and I walked back to our room.
Now we're just relaxing. I've been chatting to people, and adding numbers to my phone. I don't use my cell in Canada much, so it feels weird to be sending/receiving text messages regularly.
Tomorrow dad and I are going to go to Epcot... Casey and Krystal are both working Merch in the afternoon, so hopefully I'll get the chance to meet them in person! This is so exciting! Only 2 more days until I move into Disney!
