We'd agreed to get up at 6am, but both my dad and I were awake earlier than that. We were ready by 6:45, and got in the car, excited to go! I'd packed my car the day before, and as you can see, I did an excellent job cramming a ton of stuff into the trunk!
... and stuff still had to sit in the back seat.
But I'm ready to go in my very pretty car!
Before we left, we made sure to stop at Tim Hortons for breakfast.
*tear* I'm going to miss Tim Hortons!
So we started on our way to the US around 7:30am, crossing the border at Fort Erie!
My dad drove this part of the way so that I could make sure that all of my forms were in order.
When we got to customs they had to send us off into another building so that I could get my I-94 form stamped for my visa. We sat there, in the customs room (which was freezing) for 45 minutes, but then they called us in, gave us back our passports and said it was $6 for the form. We were out of there 5 minutes later! It was definitely relaxing to know that the US let me in, and everything to do with my visa is in order. All I had to do was drive to Florida!
We left customs and drove through New York to Pennsylvania. I wanted to take a picture of the sign, but I couldn't get my camera out in time... so you get a picture of the "Welcome Center"

We drove through Pennsylvania, and I swear... ALL of their roads are under construction. From one end of the state to the other at least one lane was closed. Part of the way through we saw the first billboard for a Cracker Barrel... and since it was around lunch time we had to stop. It was absolutely delilcious!
After Pennsylvania, we moved into Ohio... and my odometer hit 5000km! Yes, I know... for such a young car it has a lot of clicks on it!
My GPS sent us down highway 11 through the Ohio valley instead of along the interstate. It made for gorgeous views (I was driving, so there are no pictures) but it also meant there were no rest stops. We finally found one, so we took pictures! You can see the Ohio river, and across it, West Virginia!
We finally got off the long, winding (scenic but slow) road and onto the interstate and into West Virginia! West Virginia is FULL of mountains. It's gorgeous!
The roads there are really beat up, though. It was a very bumpy ride through some of those hills. It's not that there's holes in the road, the trucks have actually compressed the pavement in places so it makes valleys in the road that you get to go over.... bump... bump... bump. It's really annoying!
We still had over 100 miles to go in West Virginia, but eventually we saw a sign for Princeton... this isn't it, but it's a sign I was ready to take a picture of!
Finally, after over 960km of driving (and 12 hours on the road) we made it to the Comfort Inn in Princeton, WV... where they have awesome wireless internet which is why I can make this blog!
Tomorrow we head to Jacksonville, Florida, and assuming they have wireless too, I'll definitely be making a blog update!

EEEEE!!
This makes me SO SO excited.
These photo blogs are AWESOME.
Also, did I see rockband drums in your trunk?
I'm getting my car a couple months into my program. We should totally plan a trip together when we get time off.
LOVE!
