I just finished my second day of work!
Wednesday I worked 10am-6:30pm on the popcorn cart, and today I worked 2-10pm. I love popcorn cart. First of all, the outfit is definitely sexier. It's culottes and a red and black plaid shirt vs. black pants, maroon and black shirt, and an apron in Le Cellier. Second, you get to stand outside all day, which can be extremely hot but I love it and you get to dance and listen to Off-Kilter! Finally, I love the guest interaction. You get to see everyone walking by and just smile and Welcome them to Disney and Canada. I love complimenting Guests on their t-shirts or their Minnie/Mickey ears. The smiles I get in return are amazing!
I'm definitely getting the hang of working there. I'm getting better at pouring the draft beer (they have a huge tendancy to foam) but I'm still nervous about trying to pour La Fin du Monde and Maudite beers since they also foam a lot and are slow pour beers. I'm pretty good at the Labatt and I'm excellent at making and dishing up popcorn! Even the cash is pretty easy, although the computer is slow and since it relies on wireless it acts up sometimes. It's still one of the best jobs in the world because the people you work with are so nice and welcoming! I definitely have a lot of fun!
One of the best things was working Illuminations tonight. Usually the popcorn cart closes before the fireworks but since it's Extra Magic Hours tonight the cart stayed open. Serving popcorn and pouring beers while looking out on one of the best views of the globe was fantastic. Even better than watching them on Sunday.
I still can't believe I work for Disney. Getting to go backstage, and wandering around in my costume still gives me a kick! For all the years I saw the people in the lumberjack costume now I finally get to be one! It's incredible. I am so happy!
I have the weekend off, so tomorrow I'm going to run around and finish up all my car stuff, then Saturday we're hoping to go to the Magic Kingdom, though it's supposed to thunderstorm. I guess we just aren't meant to see Wishes!
I'm having fun, and I'll definitely keep you posted. I miss everyone so much, and I hope you're having a fun time in Canada!

I'm really glad you're in a relationship too because I know I'm going to need someone to talk to when/if I become a mess.

Off Kilter is amazing! They did three shows on Thursday while I was working, and I'll probably get to see them tomorrow through Wednesday. They play several shows a day (just not on Fridays and Saturdays). It's awesome!
I should probably mention the stage they play on is directly across from the popcorn cart, so I definitely get to see them... not that it really matters because you can pretty much hear them everywhere!
We get to serve Maudite and Fin du Monde beer? That's awesome....I love that brewery. Can't wait to be working with you!

I just spent the last 1.5 hours reading this entire blog (im a slow reader lol) but it honeslty has boosted my excitment to start through the roof!! Cant wait to meet you!
