Well, to make up for the lack of pictures during Ohio yesterday, my dad decided to take it up a notch and take videos during the remainder of West Virginia and Virginia! Here they are... enjoy!
He also took some pictures. I really liked the fog/clouds in the mountains of West Virginia, it was really pretty.
As my dad says in the video, as we moved south the landscape changed from mountains to hills.
Still, they were big hills. This one had a ramp so that out of control trucks could stop!
From Virginia we moved on to North Carolina. We drove through Charlotte (well, I drove... and it went up to 6 lanes one direction, not including exits. Fun!), and then stopped at a Cracker Barrel again. It's definitely good road trip food. You could tell we were getting into the southern US, because most people have pretty thick accents. I know Florida isn't as thick, but I still hope I don't bring home an accent with me!
We moved on from North to South Carolina!
But the weather was starting to look grim.
It eventually started raining... and then pouring. I'm really glad that I wasn't driving. Here is a picture of the view during the rain... and this wasn't even at its worst!
Yet, if you looked behind us, it was blue skies.
I really like this picture!
From South Carolina we moved on to Georgia!
The weather was starting to get a little better...
As we moved forward, we tried to outrun the storm.
As you can see, the front was right beside us.After hundreds of miles of driving we eventually made it to Florida!
It's definitely nice to be in my new home state! I'm so close to Disney now, I just can't hold in my excitement. As we got to the end of Georgia you could definitely tell that we were pretty south. The humidity just hits you when you get out of the car. I guess I'm going to have to get used to that!
Another thing I wanted to comment on (but sadly, didn't take a picture of) is the giant signs on the side of the road in the US. Near all the exits the restaurants and gas stations have their regular signs on gigantic poles so that they can be seen over the trees and on the interstate. It's kind of funny, but I love it. At least you know how you can find food!
We made it into our hotel in Jacksonville around 7pm... but we didn't get into our hotel room until 7:30. The hotel seemed to be having problems with it's keys. We were given several rooms, but when we went to unlock them, although it said that they were unlocking (via the green light) you'd go to open it and it was clearly still locked. Oh well... we managed to get into a room in the end! It's a good thing, too, because the storm has finally caught up with us. There's lightning and it's raining pretty hard. Rain's good, though, because it will help to wash all of the bugs off my car!
Tomorrow we'll wake up whenever we like, and then drive to Orlando! I can't wait. We'll probably go pick up my cell phone first thing (at Downtown Disney) and then maybe eat at Olivia's (the restaurant at Disney's Old Key West, where we're staying)! I'll definitely keep you posted... I'm almost in Disney!

Did your dad called you "dex?"
You're father must be going crazy listening to Disney music.
hahah
I wish I was driving down.
How fantastic it must be.
Also, the music and the video are so lovely.

Also, your dada seems like a very sweet man :D
Ha ha, he's talking about my car "Becks"... yes, I named my car.
My dad is awesome, and I think he actually likes the Disney music, at least he didn't complain at all!
