What I did on Thursday (and Friday)...

So Thursday's presentations consisted of more forms to fill out, as well as information on your visa, and Partners (the Disney bank). The picture to the right is a slide from the Visa presentation... she was describing all of the things "aliens" can do to get kicked out of the country. So cute. After the Partners presentation you're given the chance to sign up for an account and direct deposit. There aren't many fees and the account comes with a visa check card (as good as a visa, but you can only spend money you have) and they set it all up for you, so it sounds good to me! Leaving the presentations we had to meet with people on the "Disney Look". Basically, you go to talk to one of the employees and they'll tell you if there's anything you need to change to fit into the guidelines. I fit, so there's nothing I need to do.

After the presentations the Canadian girls went to Olive Garden for lunch. Then, another Walmart trip. I needed to exchange the phone I'd bought on Wednesday. I was able to do that (and set the phone up) and I love it. It's definitely nice being able to have a cordless phone, and now we have an answering machine!

Thursday night is Bennigan's night, so we started got together and went over. There are some GREAT quotes from that night. We met some very interesting people on the bus to Vista Way, and amazing people at the bar. It' was basically filled with Canadian and UK Cast Members... and they are all so nice!

I ended up crashing that night on Casey's couch, but woke up really early (which is good because today (Friday) is our day off... and my chance to get all my car stuff organized). Emily and I left bright and early to get our drivers licenses. It was about a 50 minute drive to the licensing office and then we had to wait since we didn't have an appointment. It all went well, though, and my Florida license will arrive in the mail soon! I'll make sure to take a picture of it!

Next we thought we could get our plates, but we didn't have our Florida insurance, yet. It took us so long to find the place. We ended up asking for directions at a UPS store, which sent us to another drivers license place, which gave us the directions to the correct office. We saw Alex (and Susie) there too, he's trying to get everything sorted out for his car as well.

It's all very confusing... no one's quite sure what's required to get your Florida plates. Hopefully we'll all get it sorted out Monday. I came back and got my car insurance from Progressive. It was also fairly confusing, I was getting horrible rates because I had put the wrong information in on for my previous insurance. Fortunately, the lady on the phone was very nice and was able to cut the insurance price down!

Tonight we are off to Downtown Disney to watch Wall-E. I still haven't seen it yet and I'm definitely excited, especially to be going with such an amazing group of people! I still can't believe I'm actually here in Florida, working for Disney, and living out my dream. My experience so far has surpassed all my expectations. I knew that I'd find amazing friends, but I didn't know that half my arrival group would be so close, and so amazing! They make me laugh so much. Everyone is incredibly friendly. At Bennigan's everyone just introduces themselves, and starts talking to you! There's no cliques and there's no way anyone would ever be left out! It is going to be an incredible year!

I still have to take pictures of Commons and my apartment. Hopefully, I'll have some time off soon when it's not raining so that I can walk around and take some pictures/video. The Commons is really nice, it's like living in a resort... you definitely have to see it!
