Gearing up for Canada...

Monday October 27th I worked from 10:30am to 4:30pm. It was a nice short shift and I was glad to be done early since Heather and I had made plans to hang out together after work! We went out for dinner at Chili's and it was absolutely delicious. If you're willing to sit in the bar area (which also has booths) they give you free chips and salsa so we definitely took them up on their offer! After dinner we went to Best Buy so that Heather could get a wireless router, then we went shopping! I was able to find a sweater that looks super cute! When we came back to our apartment we set up the router. It works now and it's fantastic! It's so nice not to have to be in the living room to get internet! I can now sit on my bed and msn and blog in my PJ's... it offers a little more privacy, and now I can be even more lazy!

Tuesday October 28th was Ellen's last day in Florida. She was heading back to Norway since she had a much better, permanent, job offer that she just couldn't turn down. The apartment is not going to be the same without her! I worked from 3:30-9:15pm, and froze. It got down to about 12 degrees celcius, which sounds warm but when you're standing outside not moving much it's freezing... also for all of the American's who want to tease "but you're Canadian, shouldn't you be used to the cold?" I don't usually wear culottes (which are esentially a skirt) when I stand outside for hours in Canada! I think Tyler is going to flip out if any more American's ask him why he looks cold. It's almost funny.

Wednesday October 29th I worked a 4:45-11pm shift, and so I went shopping in the morning over at the outlets. It was super fun. I got some leggings to wear under my culottes when it's cold, a sweater, a purse, and some other things. Then I relaxed and headed into work. It's kind of nice working so late because you have your entire day to do things! Even though it's a late shift I'd definitley do it again!

Thursday October 30th was my Mom's birthday (I won't say how old she is)! I worked from 9:30am-3:30pm, then I changed and went shopping in Epcot. As I was wandering around Mouse Gears I gave her a call to say "Happy Birthday!" I managed to buy some Christmas presents, and some "Hi, I'm back in Canada" presents. It was a lot of fun using my 50% discount! I also bought a Cinderella pillow. It's super cute, blue, has a picture of prince charming kissing Cinderella's hand and says "Happily Ever After" on it. I've been eyeing it for awhile but always thought it was a little too silly to buy. Now that I have the discount it seems much more reasonable, ha ha. I can see why they are willing to give this to us, we definitely buy more than we normally would with it! People come through cast services with BAGS of stuff they've bought. It's hilarious.

I came home after shopping and started packing. It took forever for me to figure out what to bring. Plus, I don't have a big suitcase down here since I drove everything down, so I had to pack into 2 little suitcases. Later that night I went to the Throw-Out for Steph and Steeve. Steph is self-terming (quitting), and Steve is done his (extended) contract. It took a little bit of time but I needed to say goodbye. It did mean that I was up until really late packing. Didn't matter much, I don't think I would have been able to sleep much since I was so excited to leave for Canada the next day!
