Epcot!

This morning we woke up (without an alarm clock), got ready, and headed off to Epcot. We were even there for the opening! We went straight to Soarin' and got fast passes and then went on Journey into Imagination (one of my favourite rides). I tried to send some e-mail postcards, but they must have a new program at the booths, because I couldn't seem to send my photo! Oh no, I'll have to find other stations. Then we bought batteries for Pal Mickey so we could take him around the park too! So we took Pal Mickey to The Living Seas where we saw dolphins, manatees, and fish. There was this weird fish that was using fins above and under it to swim, it looked really cool. Then it was time to head back to Soarin' which is always an amazing ride. After, we went to Ellen's Energy Adventure and then headed back to Old Key West to relax.

We relaxed for the entire afternoon and then went to dinner at Olivia's. It was absolutely delicious!
Then it was time to head back to Epcot! We rode Spaceship Earth (which was broken before), but our pictures didn't work. It just means I'm going to have to ride it again!

Next was the best part of the day! We went to the Canadian pavilion to meet up with some of the people I've been chatting with online, but have never really met... most importantly Casey! I think this video describes it best!

(Tracey, there is a HUGE hug for you when you arrive too!)

As you can tell I'm SO excited to be here, meeting new people! Everyone I've talked with is amazingly nice! After meeting Casey I went into Canada's main store and met Krystal. Then my dad and I went to watch the move (O Canada) where I saw Kathryn! It's amazing to know that I've met people 2 days before I even move in!

It was about 7:40pm, so we decided we sould sit and steak out a good spot for the fireworks. We steaked out a spot in the United Kingdom (between the bridge and the restaurant). Apparently, the UK is the palce to get engaged! Dad and I were talking and I look behind me and the next thing I know a guy is on one knee proposing! (She said yes!) Then we saw another couple taking photos and phoning family, he'd just proposed 30 minutes before! It was all very cute.

We started to see some very dark clouds heading our way and there was a lot of lightening, but we decided to stick it out. A little before Illuminations was supposed to start it started raining a little, but not enough to stop the show!

The fireworks were amazing! It was incredible to realize that this is where I'm going to work for a year! After the fireworks, dad and I ran into Emily (who also starts Food and Beverage July 15) and her dad. We chatted for a little and then they headed off to dinner at Le Cellier (the restaurant in Canada). Dad and I came back to Old Key West to relax. We're not sure what we're going to do tomorrow. Probably relax, though, I know I have a busy week ahead of me and I don't want to be tired to start it!
